Been lost in a little YouTube nostalgia since the afternoon is not conducive to my other desired pursuit of yard work. Yeah, like I really desired the yard work over sitting around watching videos...but I would like to get that done.

The future WMD was stored in a room we didn't use very much, a guest bedroom.
We have two boys, then 2 and 5. They became fond of playing in the guest bedroom after a visit from their grandparents where the grandparents stayed while they visited.
One day I went into the guest bedroom to look for something else and generally tidy up. Jumping on a bed really can trash the look of a room!

I have never visited a Muslim slaughter house before, but I have visited the Chinese Pasar a lot of times, and looking at how the Chinese people slaughter chickens still give me goosebumps!

I have been told by my father that animals excrete toxic into their body when they are under intense pain, and this type of toxic is not good for consumption of the human body. Researching further more into the Halal way of slaughtering, I think that the method tried to make the food as harmless as possible to the human being, while trying to cause less pain to the animals that are being slaughtered.

The short ones have had a nice Christmas although there is less than usual, that is not a painful thing.
Santa was wise and left a Flexible Flyer (Made in the USA/purchased locally at Utzinger's Hardware, a win/win!!!) for them, and they will be able to test ride it in their very own backyard.

Less than two weeeks until opening night of "The Union: A Very Civil War" at Second City's Donny's Skybox! We haven't posted as much lately because we've been busy working hard on sketches, videos and posters!

For what it’s worth, I am certain that Robert is no more capable of premeditation than a goldfish, and while this wouldn’t normally be considered a redeeming quality in a man, it does keep him from being evil. However, it does not keep him from doing evil. Me, I’m the opposite. I think everything to death. It keeps me from doing evil. It does not keep me from being anything.

So I was at the grocery store last weekend and walked past the wine sampling. The man who was doing the sampling came over from wherever he was to ask if I wanted a sample. I wasn't feeling it, plus it was a dollar a sample, so I decided to pass. I was talking to S on the phone, and she told me that I should buy some wine.

So, what does a good girl do? Buy a case, of course. Must take advantage of the 10% discount on the case. So, I was pulling bottles and putting them in my box. Suddenly, the sample man came over and asked, "Do you need any help?"

As the girl squirms in Robert’s basement, I sit limply in mine, watching as the walls fade to pink from the setting sun. Router in hand, I work slowly toward the completion of yet another end table. This one is for my wife’s cousin, part of a matching living room set. At some point, I became the end-table-guy, and while I loathe the inherent tedium of woodworking, I revel in any time I get to be alone. As I reach under my workbench for a planer I am reminded that I lent my reciprocating saw to Robert several weeks ago. He said he was building a closet in his laundry room and wanted to trim some drywall.

No whale sightings today, but dolphins are always fun to look at. We also had an awesome Mola mola sighting. I usually see those guys as we cruise by them on a boat, with no time to stop and admire. But today, we did stop and admire the big guy, just floating at the surface on his side. So cool.
